Supreme Task International

Supreme Task International is all about a heart for the unreached especially in India.

India, it is often said, is not a country, but a continent. From north to south and east to west the people are different, the languages are different, and the customs different. It is a uniquely diverse land of over one billion in population that will soon pass China as the most populated country in the world. The people of India speak 14 major languages and more than 1600 minor dialects. Over 600 million live in deep poverty, 300 million living below the breadline with an average income of less than $370 US dollars per person per year.

The church in India has a rich and long history dating back to the Apostle Thomas. In fact India is where the era of modern missionary effort began nearly 200 years ago with the arrival of William Carey, called by many the father of modern missions.

Historically most of the growth of the Indian church has been concentrated in the southern part of the country. While the church there is alive and well, pastors and missionaries from both within and without India have long noticed the great needs and strategic importance of the northern part of the country- an area called the North India-Hindi belt.

This belt contains one of the most heavily populated regions of the world and is known as the heartland of Hinduism, the worlds third largest religious system boasting over 330 million gods. North India has more people groups with no Christians, churches or Christian workers than any other country. No other part of the world has such a concentration of unevangelized people.

Supreme Task is dedicated to making the gospel known. We invite you to join us. Together we can make a difference!

25 million children are born in India every year, which means one child is born every 1.26 seconds - the highest in the world.
